Metallic Texture Tutorial
Use
Photoshop filters to create a metallic texture.
| Step
1 |
Create
a new document (Cntrl+N) 400x400 pixels, with a grey background. |
| Step
2 |
Go
to Filter > Noise > Add Noise. |
| Step
3 |
In
the dialog box, enter these values:
Amount:
25
Select Gaussian
Select Monochromatic
| Step
4 |
Now
go to Filter > Blur > Motion Blur and experiment with the Distance
value, but leave the angle value at 0. I used 35 for the distance.
If you want a "brushed metal look" use a value around 300. |
There
you have it. You can change the color by adjusting the Hue/Saturation. |
